BDP is known for its edgy artistic collaborations between choreographers, composers, sound artists,  visual artists, engineers, and technologists, and the incorporation of visual media and technology with riveting dance performance. Now under the collective leadership of Ann Sofie Clemmensen, Carol Hess, Shaness Kemp, and Sandra Lacy, BDP is dedicated to present the creative work of its leaders and invited guests. The company features outstanding professional dancers from the Baltimore area and beyond. Their work has appeared on the streets of Baltimore in theaters and on the screen, and has been honored with numerous grants and awards.
